I'm making the impossible, possible, by taking part in Australia's Walk & Jog Challenge to raise much needed funds for dementia research.
I’m taking part in Australia's Walk & Jog Challenge by committing to raise much needed funds to support people impacted by dementia, like my gorgeous father. He lives a journey full of challenges most people never see. As a family, we surround him with care, patience and support. Yet through it all, one thing has never changed, his smile. It shows us he’s still right there with us. Living with dementia hasn’t taken away who he is at his core, if anything it’s revealed it more clearly, a man full of love, resilience and inspiration that continues to light up everyone around him and we’re giving back the love he continues to give us daily.
Also behind that love is the quiet reality of caring. As carers, we give everything we have, every single day. We do it with love but we also need support, understanding and moments to rest and recharge, and often rely on Dementia Australia for support.
So I need your help! I’m taking on the challenge to walk or jog 77km over 14 days, from 4-17 May and help put an end to dementia.
Please make a donation to support my efforts and help me to make the impossible, possible.
My fundraising will help support the work of Dementia Australia Research Foundation, funding innovative Australian research into dementia causes, diagnosis, treatment and one day a cure.
Thank you for your support.
