Walking for Dementia
My family and friends, this May, I’ll be taking part in the Dementia Australia Walk & Jog Challenge, walking 45 kilometres between the 4th and 27th of May to help raise awareness and funds for those living with dementia and the families who walk beside them every single day.
Dementia is now one of the biggest killers in Australia, touching far too many lives, families, friendships and communities. Many of us have watched someone we love slowly change before our eyes — memories fading, conversations becoming harder, and families carrying both heartbreak and exhaustion as they try to hold everything together with love and dignity.
I’m walking because no one should face this journey alone. I’m walking for our Elders, our parents, grandparents, partners, families, friends and community members whose stories, wisdom and identities deserve to be honoured and remembered.
Dementia Australia provides vital support, education, advocacy and care for people living with dementia and for those who love and care for them. Their work matters deeply.
My goal is to raise $1,000 and walk 45 kilometres during May. If you are able to support me in any way — through a donation, sharing this post, or simply encouraging me along the way — I would be so grateful.
Every dollar helps make a difference. Every step is taken with purpose, love and hope. ❤️
Thank you for walking beside me.
I'm making the impossible, possible, by taking part in Australia's Walk & Jog Challenge to raise much needed funds for dementia research.
I’m taking part in Australia's Walk & Jog Challenge by committing to raise much needed funds to support people impacted by dementia.
But I need your help! Please make a donation to support my efforts and help me to make the impossible, possible.
My fundraising will help support the work of Dementia Australia Research Foundation, funding innovative Australian research into dementia causes, diagnosis, treatment and one day a cure.
Thank you for your support.

Well done on doing this Aunty Vic. So important to raise money for such an important cause.
