I’m taking part in Australia's Walk & Jog Challenge to raise much needed funds to support people impacted by dementia.

Dementia is something that impacts my family directly, and I know we are not alone. I’m committing to 44km for the 440 000+ people living with dementia in Australia, including my mum. I’m aiming to raise $570, as she was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, a form of early onset dementia, at 57 years old. I hope to raise much needed funds, as well as awareness of dementia. It is also my hope to walk alongside others, so that all who are impacted by dementia know that they are not alone. 

There is currently no cure for dementia, and it is now the leading cause of death for Australians. Chances are, that you know someone who is impacted by this horrendous disease.
