Challenge complete!

Today marks the end of the impossible walk and jog challenge and I finish with so much gratitude for all the support we have received. 
As a team we have raised over $3000 for dementia Australia. Money that will fund research and will allow families like ours to continue receiving valuable information and support.
The dementia journey is not a journey you get to choose, it’s brutal and challenging and I’d walk (or even run!) any day to change the reality. Especially for my beautiful mum, Julie.

I'm making the impossible, possible, by taking part in Australia's Walk & Jog Challenge to raise much needed funds for dementia research.

I’m taking part in Australia's Walk & Jog Challenge to raise much needed funds to support people impacted by dementia.

Dementia is something that impacts my family directly, and I know we are not alone. I’m committing to 44km for the 440 000+ people living with dementia in Australia, including my mum. I’m aiming to raise $570, as she was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, a form of early onset dementia, at 57 years old. I hope to raise much needed funds, as well as awareness of dementia. It is also my hope to walk alongside others, so that all who are impacted by dementia know that they are not alone. 

There is currently no cure for dementia, and it is now the leading cause of death for Australians. Chances are, that you know someone who is impacted by this horrendous disease. If you are able, please make a donation to help support the work of Dementia Australia Research Foundation, funding innovative Australian research into dementia causes, diagnosis, treatment and one day a cure.
